I am a big bouncing stress ball lately. I have writing deadlines on top of writing deadlines, one of which used to be self-imposed but just became outside-forces-imposed. Think I'm settling on "Remediation Village (Probationary), Inner Mongolia" as the title.

Still long. Still maybe too much punctuation. But it's got the hooks for remediation and Inner Mongolia, and I hope the (probationary) adds a little tension. I dunno. It's better than what I had before.

What numbers (and especially time periods) are significant in Chinese myths/fairytales? For example, in Western culture, the numbers are 3 and 7--three brothers, three years of a quest, seven years penance, etc.

China. Really. Why did I do this to myself?

Research, and more research, and always feeling like I haven't done enough, and the writing is being ridiculously balky, and....

Next time, more explosions, less research.
